8. Presentation  - Marlene Welch

Marlene Welch, a Third Order Secular Franciscan, will present a short history of St Francis of Assisi. Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a Special Franciscan Jubilee Year from January 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027, marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis

9. Guest speaker Dr. Peter Baltutis 

'St. John of Damascus and the Iconoclastic Controversy'

Dr. Baltutis is Humanities Area Chair and  Associate Professor of History and Religious Studies at St. Mary’s University as well as holding the Catholic Women's League Chair for Catholic Studies.
